Equity in Transportation

We must develop smart transportation policies that support the dramatic growth in the city’s population. Minneapolis leads the nation in bicycle infrastructure, but our bike-related policies must afford equal access to everyone, including communities of color.

We need to:

• prioritize pedestrian safety, bike safety, and transit safety for all communities

• ensure that large transportation projects include opportunities for people of color, women, and small businesses

• incentivize the development of vibrant streets and sidewalks.
